《马说》(初中语文第二册)末段有这样一句:“食之不能尽其材”。编者注道:“尽其材,竭尽它的才能,指喂饱了马,使它日行千里的能力充分发挥出来。材,同‘才’。”我觉得此注不妥。
In the last paragraph of “Ma Shuo” (second volumes of junior high school), there is such a sentence: “The food can not be used as it is.” The editors noted: “As much as we can, we must use our talents to feed the horse and make it fully capable of carrying out the journey. The material is the same as ’talent’.” "I don’t think this is right.
