江泽民同志在今年庆祝“五一”国际劳动节劳模座谈会上强调指出:“工会是党领导的工人阶级群众组织,是党联系职工群众的桥梁和纽带,肩负着维护职工群众合法权益的基本职责。”认真学习和深刻领会这一重要论断,对于我们进一步认清工会的性质和基本职责,充分发挥工会组织在党和国家工作大局中的作用,具有十分重要的现实意义。正确认识并牢记工会的基本职责,对于推动工会工作起着至关重要的作用。实践证明,只要我们对这一问题认识清醒,行动自觉,什么时候工会工作就会取得明显的成绩;反之,我们就会遇到困难和遭受挫折。
Comrade Jiang Zemin at this year’s “51” International Labor Day Labor Model Forum stressed that “the labor union is the party-led working-class mass organization and is the bridge and link between the party and the workers and the masses. It shoulders the responsibility to safeguard the lawful rights and interests of the workers and staff . ”Seriously studying and deeply understanding this important thesis is of great practical significance for us to further understand the nature and basic duties of the trade unions and to give full play to the role played by the trade union organizations in the overall work of the Party and the state. Correctly understanding and keeping in mind the basic duties of the trade unions plays a crucial role in promoting trade union work. Practice has proved that as long as we have a clear understanding of this issue and act consciously, we can see obvious achievements in the work of the trade unions. On the contrary, we will encounter difficulties and setbacks.
