It is well known that smoking increases the risk of gastric cancer, but reports of analysis of risk at different ages are rare. This article analyzes the relationship between gastric cancer and smoking in different ages through the use of comparative study data from multiple unit cases. Subjects and methods: 890 patients with gastric cancer admitted to hospitals from 1988 to 1995 and 1098 patients undergoing general health examination at the same time were selected.
