周大根,出生于浦东大团镇南面的周家宅。他是中共南汇县委第一任书记,打响了浦东抗战第一枪。牺牲时年仅32岁。在上海市秋萍学校内有一尊半身头像,那是革命者周大根的头像,学校里有学生讲解员,每年都会在“周大根烈士革命斗争事迹陈列室”里为前来瞻仰的学生们讲解烈士的英雄事迹。学校的名字,正是烈士的名字;学校所在地,正是烈士当年战斗牺牲的战场。周大根,原名周根发,又名周秋萍、周务农,
