建设有中国特色社会主义的理论,是邓小平思想的核心。十四大把这一理论确定为党在社会主义现代化新时期的指导思想,这在我们党的思想发展史上是一个里程碑。邓小平继承和发展了毛泽东思想,使党的指导思想适应变化了的时代。邓小平思想既是时代的产物,又是最适合时代需要的理论:时代造就了这一伟大理论,这一理论也开创了一个伟大时代。认真研究邓小平思想的产生、形成与时代的关系,并且与毛泽东的晚期思想及毛泽东晚年所处的时代相比较,对于掌握党的指导思想的发展变化规律,是有极大教益的。
The theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics is the core of Deng Xiaoping's thinking. The 14th CPC National Congress determined this theory as the party's guiding ideology in the new era of socialist modernization, which is a milestone in the history of our party's ideological development. Deng Xiaoping inherited and developed Mao Zedong Thought and adapted the party's guiding ideology to the changing times. Deng Xiaoping's thinking is both a product of the times and a theory best suited to the needs of the times: the times have created this great theory and this theory has also created a great era. To study Deng Xiaoping thought seriously, and to form the relationship with the times, and to compare with the late Mao Tse-tung's thought and Mao Zedong's age in his late years is of great help to the development and change of the guiding ideology of the Party.
