国外大学图书馆在科研支持服务方面进行了积极探索及实践,开展了科研咨询服务、技术服务、文献获取服务等贯穿整个科研过程的服务,开展了面向申报科研基金阶段、科研数据管理阶段、撰写科研论文阶段、传播研究成果阶段等不同科研阶段的服务,以及科研人员教育等多方面的工作。国外大学图书馆在科研支持服务方面具有服务内容全面、服务方式灵活、适时扩展服务内容、富有创新意识、合理利用外部资源等特点。
