多毛菌是从油茶绵蚧壳虫自然寄生致死的虫体里分离出来的。过去该菌种从浙江青田油茶所引进。近年我所在室内培养、接种繁殖获得成功,目前正扩大生产。在一定的温湿度控制下,从接种、分离培养到林间使用,大约历时75天左右。1980年以来,笔者在本市储田公社东风林场等油茶林,对油茶绵蚧虫进行了防治试验,致死率达54-87.7%。笔者认为,在山坡陡、水沅缺乏的情况下,“以菌治虫”的生物防治方法值得应用推广。
