中国社会科学院专家最近对百万人口以上的１２０个国家和地区进行了现代化水平的综合评价。评价报告指出 ,按目前的发展速度 ,中国还需１３年就可跨入现代化的门槛。专家们测出 :中国的现代化水平居世界第６６位 ,比１９９３年上升了７位 ,但中国的现代化指数比世界平均水平低
Experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences recently conducted a comprehensive assessment of the modernization of 120 countries and regions above a million. The evaluation report pointed out that at the current pace of development, it takes 13 years for China to step into the threshold of modernization. Experts have determined that China ranks 66th in the world in terms of its modernization level, an increase of 7 places over 1993. However, China’s modernization index is lower than the world average
