Bmi-1属于核染色质调控因子多梳基因家族,是与干细胞和肿瘤干细胞相关基因。直接参与细胞周期、凋亡和衰老的调控,在维持干细胞的自我更新及多向分化方面起重要作用;在多数肿瘤中表达失调,并且与恶性肿瘤的侵袭、转移和预后显著相关。它为恶性肿瘤患者的早期诊断、肿瘤的治疗和生存率的预测提供了一条重要途径,鉴于 Bmi-1在人类肿瘤中的重要作用,今后应着重开展关于Bmi-1与各种肿瘤干细胞关系的研究。“,”Bmi-1(Blymphoma Mo-MLV insertion region1homolog) is a member of the chromatin regula-tor polycomb group of genes( PcGs) ,which is a stem cell factor implicated in many cancers .Bmi-1 directly involves in the regulation of cell cycle,apoptosis and senescence.It plays an important role in maintaining the stem cell self-renewal and multi-differentiation.The expression of the Bmi-1 gets imbalanced in many caners, and it correlates with the cancer invasion ,metastasis and prognosis significantly .Bmi-1 gene offers a potential way for early diagnosis,treatment of cancer and prediction of survival rate in cancer patients.Given the important role of Bmi-1 in human tumors,research on the relationship between Bmi-1 and cancer stem cells should be focused on.
