西南交通大学(原唐山铁道学院)坐落于四川峨眉山——“天下名山”麓。结合地形,全校规划为五个区,即中区(中山梁)的中心教学区;东部(东坡)电机系教学区;西部(西山粱)机械、铁道系实验区及北部的生活区,往西延伸为后勤区。全校已建建筑面积约10万平方米。其中中心教学区系1974年开始修建,建筑面积约3万平方米。目前除综合楼及天桥尚在施工外,其余已竣工。
Southwest Jiaotong University (formerly Tangshan Railway College) is located in Emei Mountain, Sichuan Province - “the world famous mountain”. In combination with the terrain, the school plans five districts, namely, the Central Teaching Area in Zhongshan (Zhongshanliang); the teaching area of the motor department in the east (Dongpo); the experimental area in the west (Xishan粱), the railway system, and the living area in the north. The west extends into the logistics area. The school has built a building area of about 100,000 square meters. The central teaching area was built in 1974 and the construction area is about 30,000 square meters. At present, with the exception of the comprehensive building and overpass construction, the rest have been completed.
