竹房屋研究项目地点位于中国云南昆明世博Integer生态城。建筑师应用最新技术,生产截面尺寸为0.05m×0.10m(2英寸×4英寸)的合成竹竿组件,用于重建竹房屋的前两层。这座住宅以平台型底架(类似于轻型木构架)为基础,在澳大利亚和北美地区广泛应用。昆明理工大学的科研人员对改造的竹结构样品进行了可能的破坏性实验,如拉伸、压缩、扭曲等。工程师准确计算出房子的结构构件大小,并依据加拿大木制房屋设计规范设计了连接件。
Bamboo housing research project site is located in Kunming, Yunnan, China Expo Integer eco-city. Using the latest technology, the architect produces a composite bamboo pole assembly of 0.05 mx 0.10 m (2 in. X 4 in.) In cross-section for the reconstruction of the first two layers of a bamboo house. The home is based on a platform-type chassis similar to a light wood frame, widely used in Australia and North America. Researchers at Kunming University of Science and Technology carried out possible destructive experiments on the modified bamboo structural samples, such as stretching, compressing and twisting. Engineers calculated accurately the size of the structural elements of the house and designed the connections according to Canadian wooden house design codes.
