“五一”是世界劳动人民的节日,今年的五一节正值我国社会主义建设全面大跃进的高峰,它的意义就更加重大。它将促使我们更加鼓足革命的干劲,推动我国社会主又建设事业;也将会更加鼓舞我们促进结核病防治工作的大跃进,使防痨事业在党的领导下能够本着多、快、好、省的原则,更好地为社会主义建设服务。解放以来,由于党和政府对人民卫生事业的关怀,使得结核病防治工作也和其他工作一样取得了很大的成就,不论是防痨专业机构的建立、病床的发展、卡介苗接种数字的增长以及死亡率和发病率的下降等,都是解放以前所不能相比的。它为我国社会主义建设,供献了一定的力量。但就消灭结核病以保障人民健康的要求来看,还相距甚远。这就要求我们全体卫生工作者,尤其是防痨工作者,更加百倍努力,积极防治并最终达到消灭结核病的目的。这是一项十分艰巨的任务。那么如何组织防痨工作的大跃进呢?我们提出以下几点和同志们商洽:
