2010年3月2日,2009—2010克利伯环球帆船赛9条68尺大帆船离开青岛奥帆中心码头,一路东进,驶向美国旧金山,开始了本赛季第五赛段的比赛。青岛籍船员张锋在这一赛段加入到“青岛号”大家庭,接下来的一个月时间里,他与“青岛号”的船员们经历了6次风暴,3次冰雹,数次强降水,克服了重重困难,总航程达到了5860海里,终于抵达旧金山,并且取得了令人满意的成绩。尽管回到青岛已经半个多月了,生活渐渐回复到航海前的轨迹,张锋依然时常回首这段惊心动魄的航程。
