Mr. Yang Dongchen’s “Ancient Shaanxi History” has been published by Shaanxi People’s Education Press. Looking at the book, one notable feature is “pass.” It traces the origin of humanity in Shaanxi Province, and reflects the evolution of the ancient tribes, the development of clan, and the changes of Shaanxi divisions in the Zhou, Qin, Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. These changes basically covered the major historical development in Shaanxi; at the same time, they also utilized abundant literature.
