The Qiangda Wind Power Project is the first wind power project to be promoted by the Burmese government and recommended by both the Chinese and Burmese governments as a demonstration project of China-Myanmar electricity cooperation. It is located in Burgundy, Burma’s Irrawaddy province. The first phase of the project is to install 30 MW . It is reported that the Three Gorges Group and Myanmar Ministry of Electric Power on the morning of February 29 in Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw signed Qiangda wind power project development agreement.
