刚刚闭幕的党的十七届五中全会审议通过了《中共中央关于制定国民经济和社会发展第十二个五年规划的建议》(以下简称《建议》)。全会公报指出,今后五年,我国经济社会发展的主要目标:经济平稳较快发展,经济结构战略性调整取得重大进展,城乡居民收入普遍较快增加,社会建设明显加强,改革开放不断深化,使我国转变经济发展方式取得实质性进展,综合国力、国际竞争力、抵御风险能力显著提高,人民物质文化生活明显改善,全面建成小康社会的基础更加牢固。
The just concluded Fifth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee examined and adopted the “Proposal of the CPC Central Committee on Formulating the Twelfth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development” (hereinafter referred to as the “Proposal”). The plenary communique pointed out: In the next five years, the main objectives of China’s economic and social development are: steady and rapid economic development, significant progress in the strategic readjustment of the economic structure, a general and rapid increase in incomes of urban and rural residents, a marked increase in social construction and deepening reform and opening up so that China has made substantive progress in transforming the mode of economic development. Its overall national strength, international competitiveness and ability to resist risks have risen significantly. People’s material and cultural life has improved markedly, and the foundation for building an overall well-to-do society has become firmer.
