图案设计课程的开设可以有效地、科学地、合理地将传统装饰纹样与现代设计教育有机联系,学生通过把握传统纹样的艺术风格,从传统纹样的母体中获取各种艺术审美的元素,使设计创作得以具有深厚的民族内涵和精神,设计出符合现代审美时尚的图案设计,使中国传统纹样得以在继承中不断发展和创新。引导学生从实用的角度、从解决问题的角度、从全方位、整体、立体的角度去思考、去学习、去实践,使学生从根本上学会活学活用,举一反三、触类旁通,使我国传统图案复活于当代设计教学之中。
