The multiple nature of NIR spectroscopy makes it particularly suitable for material analysis using chemometrics techniques. This paper discusses the application of discriminant analysis in the qualitative analysis of near-infrared spectroscopy. The results show that it is feasible to use qualitative analysis of near-infrared spectroscopy
