Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is a mysterious enzyme in the human body, but no one knows its effect clearly. Some people think that it may control aging, while others think it can stop the heart attack. SOD can swallow a “peroxide group” called peroxide, which is an abnormal combination of oxygen atoms that have a damaging effect on a variety of biological tissues. It destroys the DNA of the cell and causes its fatty membrane to decay. Aging may also be the result of peroxide damage to cells. Some digestive tract cancers are thought to be caused by peroxides, and occasionally can be inhibited by vitamin E. Peroxide activity is not all bad, they have to destroy foreign fine
