BACKGROUND & AIM: The risk of thromboembolism after cardioversion in patients with atrial fibrillation is well known. However, in patients with left ventricular thrombi, we are poorly informed of the occurrence of thromboembolic events in such patients after cardioversion due to the reluctance of physicians to take risks.
