滁县地区位于皖东江淮丘陵,辖六县一市,总面积1999.2万亩,人口345万,津浦铁路贯穿南北,公路四通八达,交通方便。由于控制火灾能力较弱,每到冬春森林火灾时有发生,为了加强森林防火工作,目前已修建望火楼十多座,架设电话线150公里,购置无线电对讲机11对、电台9部。因此增强了预报火警的能力,有效地降低了森林火灾的发生,减少了损失。据统计:1978年7月至1986年5月的8年中,全区共发生林火459起(其中火灾202起),过火面积11542亩,平均每年发生林火57起,过火
Chu County area is located in Anhui East Jianghuai hills, jurisdiction over six counties and one city, with a total area of 1999.2 mu, population 3450000, Jinpu Railway runs through north and south, the road extending in all directions, convenient transportation. Due to the weak ability of controlling fire, forest fires have occurred every winter and spring. In order to strengthen the work of forest fire prevention, over 10 towers of Hope Fire Station have been built, 150 km of telephone lines have been erected, 11 pairs of radio walkie-talkies and 9 radio stations have been purchased. As a result, the ability to forecast fires has been enhanced, the incidence of forest fires has been effectively reduced, and losses have been reduced. According to the statistics: in the eight years from July 1978 to May 1986, there were 459 forest fires (202 of them were fires) with an area of over 11,542 mu, with an average of 57 forest fires occurring each year.
