防火线的主要作用是把大面积森林分割成若干小块,以阻止山火蔓延,减少森林的损失。在我国南方林区山高、坡陡地形复杂,交通不方便,扑火难度大,防火线的作用更显得重要。我省现有防火线的种类有林缘防火线,林内防火线和其他防火线等三种。总长度为4253公里,每年为维修防火线花费大量劳力和资金,近年来由于防火经费困难,部分国营林场的防火线已年久失修,起不到防火的作用。为了寻求维修防火线的好方法,我省开展了化学除草剂维修防火线的试验。我省从1985年开始在皖东丘陵和皖南山区的七个国营林场和一个合作林场进行草甘膦化学除草剂

The existing types of fire safety in our province are forest edge fire line, fire line and other forest fire three. In recent years, the fire-fighting lines of some state-owned forest farms have become disrepair and can not serve as a fire-prevention function due to the difficulty of fire prevention funding. In order to seek a good way to repair the fire line, our province conducted a chemical herbicide fire line maintenance test. Since 1985, the province started glyphosate chemical herbicides in seven state-owned forest farms and a cooperative forest farm in the hills of eastern Anhui and the mountainous areas of southern Anhui.
