美利坚民族一直秉承的价值观是美国梦。所谓美国梦的价值观,认为在社会公正的前提下,只要通过自身的不懈努力,人人都可以改变自己的命运,做自己命运的主人,并在社会发展过程中实现自身的价值。众所周知,美国自诞生以来已经经历了几百年的历史,但在不同时期下,美国梦的诠释也不尽相同。本文系统地阐述了美国文学对美利坚民族民众的美国梦的影响,旨在进一步突出文学对于民众价值观的警示作用。
The values the American nation has been adhering to are American dreams. The so-called values of the American Dream hold that under the premise of social justice, everyone can change his own destiny and be the master of his own destiny and realize his own value in the process of social development so long as his own tireless efforts can make it possible.
