1994年6月1日,一辆汽车满载中国青年杂志社全体同仁的深情厚谊,驶入太行山革命老区——山西省武乡县石盘乡。那是一片美丽的土地,50年前,作为八路军总部所在地,为抗击日寇,她的山川曾洒下了八路军和当地山民的鲜血和生命。如今,山川依旧秀美,但山民们的生活却多年徘徊在国家规定的贫困线上。崎岖的山路和低矮简陋的学校阻隔着山里人对新世界的视野。老区贫困的根源是人才的匮乏、教育的落后。1994年5月初,中国青年杂志社党委向全社党员职工发出号召:教育扶贫,智力助学,用我们的微薄之力,为革命老区的新一代作出贡献。短短几天,全社上下很快发动起来,从离退休老人到孩子;从领导干部到编辑记者、行政人员,从党员到群众,纷纷踊跃捐钱捐物,用自己的行动表
June 1, 1994, a car loaded with China Youth Magazine all my colleagues in the friendship, into the old revolutionary base in the Taihang Mountains - Shixiang County, Wuxiang County, Shanxi Province. It was a beautiful land. Fifty years ago, as the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army, to fight the Japanese invaders, her mountains and rivers had shed blood and lives of the Eighth Route Army and the local mountain people. Today, the mountains are still beautiful, but the lives of the mountain people have been hovering over the poverty line set by the state for many years. Rough mountain roads and rudimentary schools obstruct the mountain view of the New World. The root causes of poverty in old areas are the lack of qualified personnel and the backward education. At the beginning of May 1994, the party committee of China Youth Magazine sent a call to Party members and workers of the whole society to educate the poor and intellectual aid students, and to contribute to a new generation of revolutionary old areas with our modest means. In just a few days, the whole society was mobilized up and down quickly, from retirees to children. From leading cadres to editors, administrators and party members to the masses, they all enthusiastically donated money and money and used their own action forms
