1999年初的一天,古永锵刚到搜狐当CFO(首席金融官),开始寻找合适的COO(首席运营官)。
The flow of high-end talent in China is still operating through the traditional way of headhunter. One day in early 1999, Koo just arrived in Sohu when the CFO (chief financial officer), began looking for the right COO (COO). In Shanghai, he interviewed a man through headhunters. After talking for more than an hour, the man said: “I've heard about you and I just wanted to talk to you. I'm sure I will not come to Sohu. I am going to open a company called Alibaba ... but I think you are very Suitable for Sohu COO ...... ”behind the story we all know, that interviewer is Jack Ma, and in 2002 Koo Yong Sohu as Sohu COO, 4 years later he also tried to start a business, set up the Youku. This is a classic anecdote of the Chinese workplace. Today, 15 years after the Internet was developed, there are many recruitment websites and APPs. However, the flow of high-end professionals in China is still running through the traditional way of headhunter.
