1909年出生在长江第一湾的范义田,曾任云南省教育厅科员、编审,《云南日报》编撰,云南省立丽江中学教员、校长,滇西北督学。上世纪五六十年代任云南省民委特约研究员,1967年10月在昆明逝世。本文是他在任云南省立丽江中学校长时所写。时值国难当头,师生临别的赠言里不再儿女情长,反帝反封建的宣传给留言增添了凝重而严肃的气氛,这就是革命的地火不时在学校及社会奔突的原因。70余年前范校长送给初十四班毕业同学的留言,至今读来仍令人回味深长。
