中国共产党成立后,为推动妇女运动,帮助妇女改变她们长期受欺凌的命运,于是就采取办学校、杂志、报纸等多种形式,在妇女群众中开展宣传工作,争取妇女解放思想,提高革命觉悟。《妇女声》和《妇女评论》就是当时为此目的出版的两份报纸。《妇女声》于1921年12月13日以中华女界联合会的名义在上海创办,版面为8开,每期4版,为半月刊。它是中国共产党创办的第一个以倡导妇女解放为宗旨的刊物,由平民女校的王会悟、王剑虹编辑,陈独秀、施存统、沈泽民、邵力子、李达等撰稿,有言
