国庆前夕,记者从交通部长江航务管理局获悉,到目前为止,长江干线上已建、在建和拟建的各类桥梁已超过90座。长江上的桥梁建设得如此迅猛,这在国内外造桥史上实属罕见。当一座座跨江大桥飞架在滚滚东去的大江之上,曾为长江两岸经济发展作出过巨大贡献的汽渡,似乎随着运输效率难敌大桥上每日飞奔的汽车身影而逐渐淡出了人们的视野。今年7—8月,在长江重镇——武汉,曾多次出现逾百辆大型货车集结夜闯大桥,这使汽渡这一过江运输方式引起了市领导的高度关注与重视,并对“可否将汽渡打造成重货过江线”这一建议作出批示。近日,武汉市副市长尹维真也强调:“即使将来武汉建起更多的桥,重型货车也应走汽渡。”并表示,政府将出资3000万元打造汽渡专线。然而,大型货车不愿走汽渡,长江汽渡面临着严峻的挑战。
