胡锦涛总书记关于“八荣八耻”的概括,是我们党关于社会主义道德建设理论的继承和发展,是新时期社会主义道德观的系统总结和凝练升华。它体现了科学的世界观、人生观、价值观,体现了中华民族传统美德和时代要求,体现了爱国主义、集体主义、社会主义思想。“八荣八耻”鲜明地提出了公民道德建设的判断标准和基本要求。
General Secretary Hu Jintao’s general comment on “Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces” is a continuation and development of our party’s theory on the construction of socialist morality and is the systematic summary and condensation and sublimation of the socialist morality in the new era. It embodies the scientific world outlook, outlook on life and values, embodies the requirements of the traditional Chinese virtues and the times, and embodies the ideas of patriotism, collectivism and socialism. “Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces ” clearly put forward the judgment standard and basic requirements for the construction of civic morality.
