社会课是我国义务教育小学阶段新开设的一门课程。社会课的教学,为了适应现代社会对小学的要求,使他们从小初步了解社会,懂得一些社会常识,初步培养他们观察社会事物的能力,培养他们适应现代社会生活的能力。针对社会课教材“以认识社会为主线,从社会事物的纵向发展和横向联系建立新的知识体系,重视实践性原则,启发式教材结构,联系学生实际,集德育、知识、趣味于一体”的特点,在实际教学中,可采用“讲授、观察、讨论、实践”四种基本教学方法。
