新时期,我们党提出了“立党为公,执政为民”的新理念,公安机关也要求做到“立警为公,执法为民”,把“巩固共产党执政地位,维护国家长治久安,保障人民安居乐业”作为自己的历史使命。要履行好三大历史使命,就必须认清工作中存在的问题,牢固树立群众观念,大力实施效能警务建设,改革公安工作警务运作机制,全面提高工作效能,推进公安事业向前发展,服务于小康社会建设。
