绘画和摄影都是视觉传媒,两者存在着很大的区别,但又有密切的联系。自从摄影出现以来,首先感到威胁的便是绘画。至少在传统的纪实功能方面,摄影以绝对的优势超越了绘画的记述作用。于是有人这样说,“摄影的出现基本上完全取代了绘画的传统职能,历史画和风俗画现在变成了报道摄影,肖像画变成了肖像摄影,风景画变成了风景摄影,绘画被迫重新定义自己的任务,可以说现代主义艺术的直接导火索就是摄影的逼迫。”
