Field trials were conducted during the rainy season of 1991 in the hilly areas covered by forests and grasslands in the Wosera area. The smokiness of the mosquito repellent was evaluated by the number of stinking mosquitoes captured between the hours of 18:00 and 24:00 for five consecutive nights. Captured at five similar structures at about 10m distance under or under the eaves. Ten local men sat face-to-face in a pair 1-2m away from the smoldering pyrophorium, exposing their forearms, legs and legs, catching each other’s mosquitoes with flashlights and mosquito killers. In this paper, we compared four treatments of wild mango wood, coconut shell, betel nut leaves and wild ginger leaf smoked
