沙县位于闽中山区。以往较长时间里,学校普遍缺少体育场地,致使体育教学与课外体育活动无法正常开展。通过对农村教育综合改革的试验,县教育局提高了对学校体育工作重要性的认识,重视了学校体育场地的建设,使学校体育工作的面貌,发生了可喜的变化。目前,全县165所村完小都已具备了能容纳全校学生做课间操的场地,其中三分之二的中心小学还拥有篮球场和60m直跑道。19所中学大多数拥有200m的环形跑道和球类运动场,其中3所中学还有灯光球场。他们是这样落实场地建设的: 一、建校舍与建体育场地同步进行 1985年以来,沙县有11所农村中学、16所乡镇中心
