香鱼(Plecoglossus Altiuelis)属鲑形目、胡瓜鱼亚目、香鱼科,是亚洲太平洋沿岸的特产鱼类,我国从辽宁至台湾、福建沿海直至广西东兴北仑河均有分布。它栖息于水质清晰而具砾石处,秋季在河中产卵,卵具粘性,生殖后的个体大都死亡,只有少数留在深水处越冬,幼鱼在沿岸育肥越冬至翌年春季溯河而上。香鱼具有很高的营 养价值和经济价值,其养殖在日本颇盛,为名贵的食用鱼类。 为了使香鱼成为北京地区大、中型水库增殖的新品种,以开发利用和增殖香鱼资源,我们于1994～1997年的四年间先后4次将辽宁省庄河地区
