70年前的塘马之战,是我新四军抗击日军进攻的一场壮烈激战,对新四军坚持苏南敌后斗争,巩固和发展茅山为中心的抗日根据地建设,具有重大意义。两千日军空袭塘马妄凶狂1938年6月,陈毅率领新四军挺进苏南,与粟裕率领的先遣部队一起,展开敌后游击斗争。经韦岗、新丰车站、延陵等战斗,开辟了以茅山为中心的苏南抗日根据地,为新四军向东、向北发展,创造了极为有利的条件。
The war between Tibet and Malaysia 70 years ago was a heroic battle between the New Fourth Army and the Japanese army against the Japanese invasion. It is of great significance to the New Fourth Army for its construction of the anti-Japanese base areas that adhere to the enemy’s struggle in the south of the country and consolidate and develop the Maoshan. In June 1938, Chen Yi led the New Fourth Army into the southern part of Jiangsu Province, and together with the advance force led by Su Yu, launched the hostile guerrilla struggle behind enemy lines. The battle of Weigang, Xinfeng Station and Yanling opened the Sunan Anti-Japanese Base Area centered on Maoshan for the development of the New Fourth Army towards the east and the north and created extremely favorable conditions.
