现在,加筋土是一种可供土木工程师实际应用的比较新颖的材料。它能用于多种大、小土方工程的建设中。 加筋土基本上是一种在土内加入杆状、板条状或以合宜材料做成的网状筋而使土壤加劲之合成建筑材料。斯柯鲁塞和伐特尔在1969年提出了加筋土理论的全面论述,随着李氏在1973年发表《加筋土挡墙》一文之后,他们的论文便成为这门学科的代表文献,史密斯在1977年又作了更为基本的介绍。
Reinforced earth is now a relatively new material that can be practically used by civil engineers. It can be used in the construction of many large and small earthworks. Reinforced earth is basically a kind of synthetic building material that adds in the form of rods, laths, or web-like ribs made of suitable materials to make the soil hardened. In 1969, Scrollese and Vertel proposed a comprehensive exposition of the theory of reinforced earth. After Lee published the article “Reinforced Earth Retaining Walls” in 1973, their papers became representatives of the discipline. Smith made a more basic introduction in 1977.
