以往野外队修配间在制造钢丝绳卡时是先将车好的双头螺杆在红炉内加热后，将丝扣部分放在水里稍稍冷却以保护丝扣，再用钳子夹住两头进行弯曲，然后再调整形状，这样不仅速度慢，而且费力。在大跃进中，我队正安修配间创造成功一件快速弯钢丝绳卡工具，较原来操作方法提高工效5倍，同时消灭了丝扣损坏、反复整形等毛病。其构造简单，操作方便，随便一个学工都可用此工具作出合乎规格的钢丝绳卡。其构造（见图）及操作方法如下：
