中国地质学会“金罗盘奖”设立于2014年。为鼓励青年人扎根基层,在野外一线建功立业,中国地质学会联合国土资源部地质勘查司、科技与国际合作司、人事司共同发起并设立了中国地质学会野外青年地质贡献奖——“金罗盘奖”。该奖项每两年评选一次,每届评选100人。第二届“金罗盘奖”申报及推荐工作于2016年3月31日启动,经过候选人申报、单位推荐等环节,进入到专家评审
China Geological Society “Compass Awards ” was established in 2014. In order to encourage young people to take root in the grassroots and make achievements in the field, the Geological Prospecting Department, the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation and the Personnel Department of the Chinese Geological Society jointly sponsored and set up the China Geological Society Outstanding Youth Geological Contribution Award - “Golden Compass prize”. The awards are selected every two years, each selected 100 people. The second “Golden Compass Award ” to declare and recommend work started on March 31, 2016, after the candidates to declare, units recommended and other links into the expert review
