写在前面二○○四年十一月二十五日是巴金一百零一岁华诞。二○○五年一月二十七日是萧乾九十五岁诞辰。本文分三部分。一、巴金;二、萧乾;三、书信。巴金和萧乾的友谊持续了六十六年(一九三三至一九九九)。由于萧乾以言获罪,足足有二十年,两人没有来往。一九六六年九月,巴金致萧乾的信(一百多封)全部化为灰烬,萧乾致巴金的信,奇迹般地保存下十封。一九七七年至一九九九年,二人鱼雁往还,又积信一百二十六封。
Written on the previous November 25, 2004 is the 110th birthday of Ba Jin. January 27, 2005 is the ninety-fifth birthday of Xiao Qian. This article is divided into three parts. One, Ba Jin; two, Xiao Qian; three letters. The friendship between Ba Jin and Xiao Qian lasted for sixty-six years (1933 to 1999). As Xiao dry words guilty, a full two decades, the two did not deal. In September 1966, Ba Jin’s letter to Xiao Qian (more than a hundred letters) was completely reduced to ashes. Xiao Qian wrote a letter to Ba Jin miraculously preserved ten letters. From 1977 to 1999, the two yin geese went further and accumulated 162 letters of credit.
