常州,近代工业的发祥地之一。清末民初,常州纺织、机械、食品等近代工业得到较快发展,1906年出现了第一个资本主义工场手工业晋裕布厂,1932年,著名实业家刘国钧首创了纺织染联营模式。上世纪八十年代初,常州成为闻名全国的工业明星城市,并以乡镇工业发达为时代特征共同创造了著名的“苏南模式”。如今,这里又冉冉升起一颗中国经编机品牌之星——常州市润源经编机械有限公司。6月10日,“走基层看纺织”中国经编万里行活动报道组走进常州,走进常州润源经编机械有限公司。
