《普通高中英语新课程标准》明确把培养学生的文化意识作为英语教学的五项基本目标之一。忽视文化背景知识的传统英语教学已不适应时代发展的要求。在新课标理念下,教师要转变观念,优化教学方法,充分利用教材进行文化渗透,在词汇、阅读课文、听说训练、语法等课堂教学中进行跨文化教育,丰富课外活动,增强文化内涵,培养学生的跨文化理解和跨文化交际能力。
The New Senior High School English Curriculum Criterion clearly regards cultivating students’ cultural awareness as one of the five basic goals of English teaching.
