一、前言本文作者之一(张)在采集中药的过程中,发现有一种植物的根部颜色很黄,味道很苦(从外观上看和黄连颇有相似之处),因而推断可能含有小蘗硷。后经中国医学科学院药物研究所作小蘗硷含量的定量分析和抑菌实验,证实了这种推断。而后作者(李)对该植物作了鉴定,并进一步作了抑菌试验,当证明其确对痢疾杆菌有抑制能力时,即用之于临床。第一次试验是在某团进行的,当时我们试治了细菌性痢疾患者14人。
