14C is a radioisotope of carbon with a wide range of applications in the pharmaceutical, medical, agricultural, exploration, archeology and other fields. The 49-2 Research Reactor is a pool-type reactor with more than 40 years of safe operating experience. The production of various radioisotopes is one of its important uses. The content of this work is to give a preliminary radiation plan for the 49-2 heap production 14C. After calculation and analysis, 2466.4g of aluminum nitride was placed in H2 and H10 channels of 49-2 reactor, and the activity was
