解放军八十八医院立足临床搞科研,科研成果又用到临床上,提高了临床诊治水平,走出了一条以科研养科研,科研推动临床水平提高的新路。1988年5月的一天,天津一家制药厂的一名业务员来到该医院,愿意出资50万元买下该医院最新研制成功的一项新药的生产专利。这给了八十八医院领导一个启示:医院每年都有20多项科研成果获奖,对临床确实起了推动作用,但一直没有形成规模,形不成生产力,产生不了经济效益。于是,医院“科技开发中心”的牌子挂了出来,树起了科研成果开发的“大旗”。
