The first question: What do you need to study at a US university? At a week or so before the beginning of each semester, the U.S. university will launch a syllabus for each course of the semester. The course details, course objectives, and teaching objectives will be listed in detail. Book list is the focus of the syllabus. The number of reading tasks per course per week is based on “chapter ”. Less than a few hundred pages of textbooks, as many as thousands of pages, each semester about fifteen weeks time. In other words, every week we need to read hundreds of pages of textbooks, and this is just a course requirement, counting all courses, reading 500 pages a week is a conservative number. The point is that American professors will never follow the example of Chinese professors in the classroom;
