民族艺术中蕴涵着丰富的文化。它是宝贵的财富,象征着民俗、民族观念。是劳动者对于自然和人生的态度。但是很多绘画者对传统绘画方法持逆反心理,而一些热爱传统的人又过于保守传统,致使对传统的寻找与发展需要找一条恰当的途径,无论是他们的生活点滴还是思想根源,都有传统深深的痕迹。因此传统本身也是有生命力的,需要不断的养分去成长。美术工作者不应只是照搬前人的观念与技法,需要适当吸纳西方艺术中的科学性,注重西方古典哲学及现代哲学、美学的启迪,扩充民族艺术的道路。
