前些日子,梁滨久先生提出了关于“方志应记述人才群体状况”的观点（参见《湖北方志》1994年4期）,笔者觉得言之有理,切中志弊。新编人物志以记述单个人物的传记为唯一记述形式的倾向,严重削弱了其所理应负载的丰富内涵。回眸15年的人物志编纂历程,我们理应吸取教训,不仅要加强人才群体状况的记述,而且要加强其他入志人物群体状况的记述,譬如英模群体的记述、归国华侨优秀群体的记述、开风气之先群体的记述等等。对诸类群体的宏观、中观把握,应该而且必须成为人物志记述的题中应有之义。
A few days ago, Mr. Liang Binjiu put forward the opinion that “Local Records should record the status of talent groups” (see Hubei Local Records, 1994, No.4), and I think it makes sense and pays for itself. The tendency of the new characters to record the biographies of individual characters as the only forms of accountability seriously undermines the rich connotations that they should bear. Looking back at the history of 15 years of personal history compilation, we should learn lessons not only from strengthening the accountability of the group of talented people, but also to strengthen the account of other groups of gifted persons, such as the account of the British model group, the account of outstanding overseas Chinese returning, The first group of ethos and so on. The macroscopic and medium-perspective grasp of all kinds of groups should and should be the proper meaning of the account of people’s stories.
