1 Results The description of the relaxation properties of polymers is the way to characterizate the influence of the polymer structure on its useful properties: stability and persistence. Synthesis and investigation of model compounds are needed to perform the physico-chemical characteristics of polymers. Instrumental methods as NMR and dielectric spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and mechanical spectroscopy are used to this goal[1,2]. Dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) is one of the most frequently used methods for characterizing thermal, viscoelastic and structural properties of polymeric materials. The possibility of assessing the temperature- and time-dependent behavior, the extent of phase mixing in blends, the degree of cross-linking, crystallinity, interfacial adhesion, ageing and degradation make this technique extremely valuable for the process of testing and designing new materials. Nowadays the macroscopic properties of polymers and other complex materials are mainly interpreted on the basis of the underlying microscopic phenomena. Particularly, the study of the temperature dependence of the average relaxation time may lead to predicting their molecular mobility and final properties of polymers[3].
