On January 20, 2005, a press conference was held to release news on the archaeological results of the Shangshan Site in Pujiang County, Zhejiang Province. Since then archaeologists from both home and abroad have come to take a look at the unusual wonder. What was found at the site was rice cultivation that took place about 10,000 ago.
